Seated Thoughts

Lyris transforms rescued furniture into canvases that journal her musings. Each chair is a unique piece of colour and organic forms communicating Lyris' love of nature and the smaller things in life. The chairs abound with flowers and moons as well as insects, fungi and poetry waiting to be discovered. Lyris' chair journey began with a decision to give a discarded kitchen chair a new life. Lyris is a microbial ecologist and lectures in biology.
